*Role and Responsibilities *
**
You will be a member of the specialist team of researchers working on
the design, development and implementation of the four major
longitudinal research studies housed in the Centre for Longitudinal
Studies. The Centre for Longitudinal Studies <http://www.cls.ioe.ac.uk/>
is an ESRC Resource Centre. CLS has responsibility for and manages four
of Britain's internationally renowned cohort studies:
• 1958 National Child Development Study (NCDS)
• 1970 British Cohort Study (BCS70)
• Millennium Cohort Study (MCS)
• Next Steps (formerly the Longitudinal Study of Young People in England)
Working closely with the researchers in the team, referred to as survey
managers, and the external survey sub-contractor, you will ensure that
the cohort studies are designed, developed and delivered to a high
standard, with high rates of participation. We welcome candidates with
experience of survey management with large-scale surveys, and we are
particularly interested in those with experience of working on
longitudinal studies.
*The Appointment*
The appointment is available on a full-time basis. The position is
available immediately until 31 March 2020 in the first instance.
Annual salary will be on Grade 7, in the range £34,635 to £41,864,
inclusive of London Allowance.
Job share will be considered. Applicants wishing to do so are asked to
indicate their preferred pattern of working. Applications from joint
