International Workshop

To commemorate 100 years since its foundation Università Luigi Bocconi will 
organize and host an international workshop on income distribution and 
welfare. The scientific program will feature invited lectures followed by 
discussion from the floor. The following speakers have already agreed to

Ebert, J.M. Esteban, S.P. Jenkins, P.J. Lambert, K. Mosler, P. Moyes, L. 
Osberg, D. Ray, J.E. Roemer, A. Shorrocks, T. Smeeding, S. Yitzhaki, E.N. 
Wolff, C. Zoli.

Call for Papers

Contributed papers are welcome. If you wish to present a paper in a 
contributed session, please, send an extended abstract (300 words) of the 
paper to: income.distribution@uni-bocconi.it. The deadline for submission 
is January 31st, 2002. You will be informed whether your paper has been 
accepted for presentation by February 28th, 2002. Papers may follow in the 
following areas:
1.      Measurement of welfare, inequality and poverty;
2.      Measurement of polarization and social exclusion;
3.      Fiscal systems and the distribution of income and wealth;
4.      Income dynamics and mobility.
Papers not accepted for the contributed sessions will be presented in a 
plenary poster session.
