Abstract: Many of us are involved in building mathematical models and
analyses that will inform major inferences or decisions with many 
stakeholders. They may involve many uncertainties, conflicting objectives
and multiple perceptions. We may delight in how our analyses model many
subtleties. But how do we explain the complex mathematical models to the
scientists and decision makers who need the results. More importantly,
how do we explain the results to many stakeholders including the general
public. Do we understand how our audience may perceive and interpret our
analyses?  My discussion will raise many issues and solve few, but it may
sensitise us to the difficulty of communicating our results.
