Since January 2005 Assistant Professor of Statistics at the Department of Economics of the University of Perugia.

From 1986 to December 2003 Research assistant at the Computing Centre of the University of Perugia

1986 Freelance work contract for professional services related to the use of equipment at the Computing Centre of the University of Perugia

Research interests

My main research field deals with bancruptcy prediction of SMEs

Logistic regression, logistic regression for unbalanced data, logistic regression for case-control studies and survival analysis are the methodology I have applied in this field.

Advanced multivariate statistical methods for research  in other fields are also applied.

1987-2003 1994-1999 Collaboration with the Epidemiology Observatory of the Umbria Region within the ROD/DRG system: analysis of the DRG distributions in Umbrian hospitals.

1999-2000 IT manager of the selection procedures for the recruitment of university professors and researchers

2000-2001 Involved in  the realization of the component "Decision Support System" as part of the Integrated Health Information System of the Umbria Region on behalf of Crued, IT Services SpA, today Webred SpA

Software

Depth knowledge of SAS Software concerning data management and reporting, statistical analysis and graphics. I was invited twice as a speaker to SUGI (SAS User Group International), once to SUCHI; I received an award at SUGI in the poster session (Your Graph on the Web with SAS version 8) and a Special Mention at SugItalia for the speech held in Version 8 session.

Good knowledge of other statistical package such as R and STATA.
