We are opening a Senior Lectureship in Mathematical Statistics at 
Chalmers University of Technology and University of Gothenburg, Sweden, 
to contribute to our expertise in the area of *mathematical statistics 
with emphasis on modern data analysis and computer-based methods*.

The position is permanent (tenured).

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Gothenburg 
and Chalmers University of Technology has about 200 employees and is one 
of the largest departments of mathematical sciences in the Nordic countries.

The successful candidate will strengthen and complement the research 
performed at the Division of Applied Mathematics and Statistics 
<https://www.chalmers.se/en/departments/math/organisation/applied-mathematics-and-statistics/Pages/default.aspx> 
which is internationally recognized in areas such as

  * Bayesian statistics, forensic statistics,
  * spatial statistics, extreme value theory,
  * biostatistics, bioinformatics, and systems biology,
  * stochastic differential equations, computational mathematics.

We are particularly interested in enhancing our AI a MS

group on Artificial Intelligence at Mathematical Sciences.
