    The aim of this special issues is to explore the main items related
    to the project MAKSWELL, MAKing Sustainable development and
    WELL-being frameworks work for policy analysis, the project funded
    by the /Horizon 2020/ Programme.

    We invite submissions that explore the following topics:

    -Extend the existing well-being frameworks with new data sources
    (e.g. big data)

    -Improve data availability on well-being using innovative
    methodologies, such as small area estimation and now-casting techniques

    -Foster the use of the beyond GDP approach in European official
    statistics to better assess countries' development

    -Put new and traditional data into a consistent and reusable
    framework for policy evaluation

    Manuscripts should be submitted sending them to rivista a istat.it

    All the manuscripts will be double-blind reviewed by referees expert
    in the different areas of interest.

    The /Rivista di statistica ufficiale/ is the international journal
    of official statistics published by the Italian National Institute
    of Statistics - Istat.

    Its scientific contributions deal with cross-cutting topics ranging
    from statistical methods and indicators, economics, public finance,
    demography, society and environment.

    It is a quarterly journal, free online and ranked in the main
    bibliometric lists (/Current Index to Statistics/, /RePEc/, etc.).
