CALL FOR INTEREST
The Department of Economics and Finance (DEF) at the University of Rome Tor
Vergata invites expressions of interest for one Senior (Tenure-Track)
Assistant Professor and one Tenured Associate/Full Professor position in any
area of Economics and Finance, including Econometrics, Mathematical Finance
and Statistics.
Our Department is devoted to promoting high quality research, seminars and
conference activities, with the aim of contributing to the national and
international policy debate. RePEc and Tilburg University rank our
Department among the top 5 institutions in Italy, and the top 100 in Europe.
The Department has been recently financed by the Italian Ministry of
Education, University and Research under the program "Departments of
Excellence" for the 20182022 period. More information about the DEF can be

- Senior (Tenure-Track) Assistant Professor is for three years. Subject to
evaluation, the position will be converted in a tenured Associate
Professorship. Applicants for this position must have at least three years
of experience after PhD completion, and an already established research
record.
- Associate/Full Professor is a tenured position. Applicants should have an
established track-record of publications in top international journals and
evidence of leadership and recognition in the international academic
community, including grant application and project management. Standards of
excellence in teaching are also expected.
All positions will start in 2019. Salaries and teaching loads are
competitive with other academic institutions abroad. Knowledge of Italian is
not required.

will be invited for a seminar. There are no restrictions regarding the
