2018 EMCC-III Conference - Econometric Models of Climate Change - September
6-7th 2018, University of Rome ¡°Tor Vergata¡±

The <http://economia.uniroma2.it/en/def> Department of Economics and
Finance at the University of Rome ¡°Tor Vergata¡±, together with
<http://econ.au.dk/research/researchcentres/creates/> CREATES at Aarhus
University, and <http://www.climateeconometrics.org/> Climate Econometrics
at the University of Oxford, are hosting the 3rd Conference on ¡°Econometric
Models of Climate Change¡± at
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villa_Mondragone> Villa Mondragone,
University of Rome ¡°Tor Vergata¡±, Via Frascati 51, 00040 Monteporzio
Catone, Italy, on September 6th -7th, 2018.

The conference aims at promoting an interdisciplinary approach to the
detection and attribution of climate change and cross-fertilization between
climate science and econometrics.

Climate econometrics has emerged as a field tackling climate problems using
econometric methods: from analyzing observational climate data and results
from climate models using econometric methods, to empirically estimating the
impacts of climate variables onto socio-economic outcomes.

Econometric interest in climate change and its complex data environment has
grown to the point that it can be considered a developing field within
econometrics.

Call for papers

We solicit submissions of papers whose novelty stems from the development
and introduction of new econometric methods to models of climate change ¨C
inviting both papers using econometric methods to analyze climate data, as
well as econometric studies of climate impacts. We particularly welcome
submissions in the field of climatology highlighting interesting statistical
challenges to which econometric methods can contribute.

Join the <http://www.climateeconometrics.org/network/> Climate Econometrics
network to receive conference updates.

Submission

Please send titles and abstracts (or completed papers) no later than May
31st, 2018 to one of the organizers:
