call for papers: a special issue on statistical problems from
selection-biased samples

 

A special issue of the Italian Journal of Applied Statistics (
<http://sa-ijas.stat.unipd.it/> http://sa-ijas.stat.unipd.it) will be
devoted to advancements in the broad field of "Statistical Problems from
Selection-Biased Samples". Submissions that deal with problems related to
selection-bias in data collection and analysis and with result
interpretation are especially invited. In particular, advances with
suggestions on methods and models to limit the impact of selection bias on
knowledge at population level of estimates as well as in surveys and
experiments are welcome. 

 

With reference to the topical issue, our interest includes, but is not
limited to:

 

.Extension at population level of inference

.Emerging problems in clinical trials

.Emerging problems in epidemiological surveys

.Emerging problems in social surveys

.Emerging problems in pre-electoral surveys

.Emerging problems in exit-polls surveys

.Emerging problems in marketing surveys

.Emerging problems in other experimental and observational settings

All submitted manuscripts i) will be peer reviewed, and ii) have to adhere
to the standards of the journal. Authors are encouraged to follow the
specifications in "Instructions for Authors" available at
