Dear All,
 
We are writing to you to give some updates about the activity of our Association.
1.      The 10th Annual Conference of the Spatial Econometrics Association will be held in Rome from June 13thto June 15th at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. All details can be found at the website of the Association or directly at the website of the Conference at:

Special features of the conference this year:

-          Two special “Decennial” lectures will be given by Jean Paelinck and Luc Anselin

-          Two invited speakers: Dan Griffith and a second name to be confirmed

-          A special issue of the journal “Econometrics”  (http://www.mdpi.com/journal/econometrics <http://www.mdpi.com/journal/econometrics>)

-          A round table on software for spatial econometrics with R, STATA, GeoDa and SAS

-          The first meeting of the Spatial Econometrics Advanced Institute Alumni on June 12nd

-          A crash introductory 2-days course on Spatial Econometrics and applications in R will be held on June 10thand 11th

 
The deadline for submitting an abstract is April, 16th 2016

Notification of acceptance will be sent by April, 30th, 2016

The deadline for the Early Bird registration is May 14th, 2016

Let us point out the fact that, due to the coincidence with the Jubilee in Rome, it is important to book the hotel well in advance. The website reports a large number of alternative accommodations.

2.      The 9th edition of the Spatial Econometrics Advanced Institute will be held immediately before the Annual Conference starting from May 16th and finishing on June 10th.

 The deadline for applying to the summer school is February 20th, 2016
Notification of acceptance will be sent by March, 1st, 2016

 
3.      The XI World Conference, will be held in Singapore during spring 2017. The exact dates and further details will be given on the SEA website in due time.

4.      We are looking for a conference location in 2018 and 2019. As usual we plan to have a conference in the US in 2018 and again in Europe in 2019.
