An analysis on the measurement of quality of life in the regions of  the 
European Union has just been published
by the European Commission,  Joint Research Centre,  in cooperation with 
the Directorate General for  Regional Policy:
"Quality of Life at the sub-national level: an operational example for 
the EU"  (by  Paola Annoni,  Dorota Weziak-Bialowolska,  Lewis Dijkstra).
