Postdoctoral position at INRIA, Grenoble, France

We are looking for a scientist to lead a modeling project on brain 
tumors. The work consists of modeling tumor size dynamics as well as 
clinical criteria observed in brain cancer patients undergoing 
therapies. As methodological tools, we expect the development of 
ordinary differential equations (ODEs) based on the concept of tumor 
growth inhibition models with potential extension to partial 
differential equations (PDEs). The ODE models will be developed under a 
population approach (mixed-effect models) and Monolix and Nonmem will be 
used for parameter estimation  [1].

The position is located in Grenoble, France at INRIA (www.inria.fr/en 
<http://www.inria.fr/en>) for a duration of 18 months. INRIA is a public 
institute dedicated to fundamental and applied research in information 
and communication science and technology (ICST). The modeler will work 
in the team NuMed (http://www.umpa.ens-lyon.fr/~numed/ 
<http://www.umpa.ens-lyon.fr/%7Enumed/>) which is dedicated to parameter 
estimation in complex biomathematical models with strong application in 
preclinical and clinical oncology.This modeling work will be developed 
under the framework of the DDMoRe project (www.ddmore.eu 
<http://www.ddmore.eu/>), a public/private consortium on the development 
of models and frameworks in pharmacometrics.
