International Scientific Workshop: Structural Equation Modeling and Latent
Variable Models
Bologna (Italy), September 12-14th, 2012
****************************************************************************************************

The workshop aims at gathering researchers in Statistics and in related
fields, to discuss methodologies and recent developments related to
Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Latent Variable Models (LVMs).
 These methods, which have wide applications in the social and behavioral
sciences and beyond, allow researchers to address a broad class of research
questions regarding measured and latent variables.


Keynote speakers

Prof. Kenneth Bollen – University of North Carolina
Prof. Gregory R. Hancock – University of Maryland
Prof. Irini Moustaki – London School of Economics and Political Science


The meeting is promoted and sponsored by the Italian National Research
Institute on Food and Nutrition (INRAN) and will be hosted by Department of
Statistical Sciences of the University of Bologna, Italy.

The admission is free, but  the number of participants we can accept is
limited. Those interested in attending are asked to apply by sending an
