nei giorni 25-28 Gennaio 2006 si svolgera' presso la Villa Agape
(Arcetri) di Firenze il convegno internazionale dal titolo:

Robust Classification and Discrimination With
High Dimensional Data (ROBCLA06)

Sponsored by the ESF Network

"Statistical Analysis of Complex Data with Robust and Related Statistical Methods (SACD)"

with additional support from the Italian Statistical Association (SIS)

The objective of this conference is to be a forum for new developments
and applications of robust statistical methods for classification and
discrimination of high-dimensional data. Leading scientists, experienced
researchers and practitioners, will come together to exchange knowledge
and to build scientific contacts.  

The contributions to theoretical as well as applied statistics are
welcome. The following areas are mentioned, but contributed talks on
other related topics are welcome as well:
Concepts and theory of robust statistics
Nonparametric methods; nonparametric and semiparametric models
Multivariate analysis 
Data depth 
Statistical computing, graphics and data mining 
Regression quantile 
Linear and generalized linear models; mixed models
Biostatistics
Statistical methods in signal processing 
Statistical methods in business and finance 
Statistics in bioinformatics 
Asymptotic theory and efficiency 

Selected peer-review
papers will be published in the
journal
