OECD/JRC workshop on composite indicators of country performance - Ispra (I) - May, 12th 2003

Dear colleague,

It is our pleasure to call your attention to a technical workshop on
composite indicators of country performance, which will be held in Ispra
(Italy) on May, 12th 2003.

Both the European Commission and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation
and Development (OECD) are critically assessing the methodologies for
constructing composite indicators of country performance in different policy
areas (e.g. innovation, competitiveness, globalisation).

This workshop will review the advantages and disadvantages of composite
indicators with a view to developing "quality guidelines" for their
construction.
