Abstract . The traditional approach to the construction of parametric 
predictive densities, that is parametric prior to posterior to predictive, 
can be criticised for a number of reasons. In this talk I will discuss an 
alternative approach to the construction of parametric predictive densities 
using nonparametric ideas.
