Statistics in everyday life Today statistics is under everyone's eye: while newspapers, magazines and other media are crammed with statistical data, the common citizen is often unequipped to understand their meaning and to judge the quality of statistical information.
The meetings on the statistics in the daily life of the project "Statistics of all: statistical literacy in the information society" have been finished. The project has been elaborated by Cirdis of Perugia and by the Department of Statistics of the University of Perugia and funded by the MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research) within the initiatives for spreading scientific literacy.
"Does the Italian Postal Service make us close to each other?" Cirdis members investigated about the time employed by the correspondence for getting to addressees. Read the description of the project and download data. (In Italian)
