Today statistics is under everyone's eye: while newspapers, magazines and other media are crammed with statistical data, the common citizen is often unequipped to understand their meaning and to judge the quality of statistical information.
To draw attention to the importance of being statistically literate, we will publish in this area comments on statistical information given in the media and will report relevant initiatives that contribute to improve understanding of statistical information.

"Statistics of All": video-conferences on-line

The meetings on the statistics in the daily life of the project "Statistics of all: statistical literacy in the information society"  have been finished. The project has been elaborated by Cirdis of Perugia and by the Department of Statistics of the University of Perugia and funded by the MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research) within the initiatives for spreading scientific literacy. 

We thank all for having participated in the lectures and we  notice  that the materials and the video recordings are available in this section of the site.
