CLADAG promotes advanced methodological research in multivariate statistics
with a special interest in Data Analysis and Classification. It supports the
interchange of ideas in these fields of research, including the dissemination
of concepts, numerical methods, algorithms, computational and applied results. CLADAG
organizes a biennial international scientific meeting, schools related to
classification and data analysis, publishes a newsletter, and cooperates with
other member societies of the IFCS in the organization of their conferences.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:black"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:black">This year’s conference will address, in particular,
young statisticians, whose presented papers will be<span> </span>the subjects of a research prize competition,
and professionals, whose presented papers will be organized in thematic
sessions.<span> </span></span></p>

tentative title by <b>January 31,2011</b> by filling in the on-line form. A
short paper should be sent to the Scientific Committee by <b>April 5, 2011 </b>–
guidelines on the conference web site.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:black">Short Papers will be refereed. Accepted manuscripts
will be published in a <i>Book of Short Papers.</i><br>

conference. These will be reviewed and, if accepted, published in a Proceedings
volume by Springer in the series ‘Studies in Classification, Data Analysis and
Knowledge Organization’.</span></p>

discuss and understand how statistical methods can help quantifying this
