[Forum SIS] CALL FOR PAPERS - SIS 2021 Deadline Approaching

*The deadline for short paper and abstract submission is now approaching
(February 28th, 2021)*

Submissions are open for *invited and contributed* papers to the 50th
Scientific
Meeting of the Italian Statistical Society which will be held virtually
from 21 to 25 June 2021. An abstract of less than 200 words and a short
paper, between 4 and 6 pages, must be submitted online through the
conference website following the website guidelines for the submission (
http://meetings3.sis-statistica.org/index.php/sis2021/sis2021). Only for
"Contributed papers - posters", it is possible to send only an abstract
with a maximum length of 200 words, which cannot be published in the "Book
of short papers - SIS 2021".

*NEW DEADLINES*

February 28th: short paper submission (for invited and contributed
sessions, including posters)

February 28th: abstract submission (for "Contributed papers - posters" only)

March 28th: decision is taken, and possible revisions are required

April 23rd: resubmission of the revised version

May 7th: early bird registration

June 11th: "Contributed papers - posters" must be submitted following the
instructions that will be sent to the authors

 *CONFERENCE PUBLICATIONS*

All accepted short papers will be published in the* "Book of short papers -
SIS 2021" (with ISBN), *published by Pearson and edited by members of the
Local Organizing and Programme Committees. *A consent form available on the
website must be uploaded as supplementary file during the submission
process. *

Extended versions of a selection of short papers will be published in
a *Springer
book* in the series Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics (ProMS):
"Studies in Theoretical and Applied Statistics - SIS2021 - 50th Meeting of
the Italian Statistical Society, Pisa 21-25 June 2021".

For papers focused on statistical models with applications to complex data
from social, behavioural and life science contexts there will be a call for
papers for a Special issue of the *Metron* journal. Submitted extended
papers will undergo the regular peer review process.

*GENUS - Journal of Population Sciences* welcomes papers on
socio-demographic issues presented at the SIS 2021 conference. A dedicated
Thematic Series is also possible.

There will be a call for papers for a Special issue of *Statistical Methods
& Applications* <https://www.springer.com/journal/10260/>* Journal* focused
on  advanced models and complex data for better decision making. SMA
welcomes papers presented at the SIS 2021 on these topics.  Submitted
extended papers will undergo the regular peer review process
