The San Jose State University Department of Mathematics and Statistics has one faculty position starting August 2021 in Statistics/Data Science. Candidates must have a Doctoral degree in Statistics or a closely related field by July 2021. We are especially interested in applicants with a focus on the development of statistical and/or machine learning methods and computational tools for statistical learning and inference on large-scale or complex data sets. Candidates should have expertise in at least one relational database management system (SQL, Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, Hive)
