Selected papers of 49th Meeting of Italian Statistical Society

49Th Scientific meeting of Italian Statistical Society was held in  
June 2018 in Palermo, with more than 450 attendants.
The meeting covered a wide area of applied as well as theoretical  
issues, according to the modern trends of statistical sciences. There  
where three plenary sessions on Rating data, Global climate dynamics,  
Computational methods in bio-medicine; twenty specialized and twenty  
five solicited sessions, as well as oral and poster contributed

All researcher who presented a contribution to the conference, in any  
kind of sessions, are kindly requested to submit an extended version  
for publication in a Special Issue with relevant and innovative  
papers. Submitted papers must contain original unpublished work that  
has not been submitted for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts  
submitted to this Special Issue will undergo the classical  
double-blind reviewing process.

Submission details. Papers should be written in word or LaTeX and  
should be of 10 up to 20 pages (A4 or Letter size with 12 point, fully  
double-spaced font), including illustrations and tables. The front  
page of the manuscript must contain a concise and informative title,  
the names, affiliations, and addresses of all the authors, the e-mail  
address, telephone number of the corresponding author, an abstract of  
150 words, and 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

Manuscripts should be submitted by the electronic submission system  
from Springer's: https://ocs.springer.com/prom/home/SIS2018. Authors  
must register on the Springer OCS site or login if already registered  
on the site.

Submission of full papers for the Special Issue: August 7, 2020.
Final papers: December 18, 2020.
