IASS WEBINAR: SAMPLE SURVEYS ON COVID-19 PANDEMIA AROUND THE WORLD

11am CET on September 3rd, 2020

The webinar series continues to showcase examples of national 
organizations using surveys to collect data on COVID-19. This includes 
measuring its prevalence in populations and its impact on well-being.

The webinar will consist of three talks:

1. Measuring the socio-economic impact of coronavirus in Asia and the 
Pacific, Gemma Van Halderen, Director of the Statistics Division in the 
United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific,

2. Overview of the design and estimation methods in the ONS Covid 
Infection Survey, Salah Merad, Office for National Statistics UK

3. Statistical Design for Covid-19 monitoring and control,, Stephen 
Haslett, Massey University, New Zeland.

The webinar is organized by IASS and involves SIS members Monica Pratesi 
and Gaia Bertarelli as organizers.
