[Forum SIS] Applications for the Data Research Camp are now open!!

The Data Research Camp is a 3-day workshop where small groups of
junior statisticians, advised by senior researchers, will be asked to
develop innovative methods and models to  analyze a dataset with a
specific common goal.

This scientific event aims at playing as a stimulator of research and
it represents a great opportunity for interacting, sharing ideas and
promoting discussion. As a result, methodological and applied
contributions to the statistical literature are expected following the
workshop.

Early career researchers in Statistics and Data Science are invited to
apply for attending the meeting. Online application must be submitted
by May 31, 2019 through the website
http://researchcamp2019.stat.unipd.it/

The senior group leaders are Claudio Agostinelli (University of
Trento), Francesca Chiaromonte (Penn State University), Michele
Guindani (University of California Irvine), Sonia Petrone (Bocconi
University), David Rossell (Pompeu Fabra), and Simone Vantini
(Politecnico di Milano).

The Data Research Camp will be held at the Venice International
University (http://www.univiu.org/) in the wonderful San Servolo
island, Venice, Italy from the 2nd to 5th of July, 2019.

The event is supported by the excellence program "Statistical Methods
and models for complex data" of the Department of Statistical Sciences
of the University of Padova (eccellenza.stat.unipd.it) and endorsed by
the PhD courses in Statistics of the University of Padova, University
of Bologna, Bocconi University, and Politecnico di Milano.
