ENBIS-19 in Budapest: Call for Papers
ENBIS – the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics,
www.enbis.org – is a platform where statistical practitioners and
academic statisticians from Europe and beyond meet, exchange ideas and
design new projects. ENBIS sponsors an Annual Conference and numerous
additional events, many of them web-based.
The ENBIS-19 Annual Conference will take place in Budapest, Hungary,
from the *2nd to 4th of September, 2019*, hosted by Eötvös Loránd
University (www.elte.hu). The Annual Conference hosts presentations from
a wide variety of sectors, ranging from manufacturing to service, from
private to public.
ENBIS-19 session topics include design of experiments, measurement
uncertainty, process modeling and control, reliability and safety,
statistical computing, operational risk management, stochastic
modelling, quality improvement and Six Sigma, data mining and
warehousing, machine learning, predictive analytics, statistical
education for business and industry, business and finance, statistical
consulting, among others. The conference combines both conceptual
presentations and case studies, but always having in mind the
application of statistical methods in business and industry.
We cordially invite you to submit an abstract to the conference by *21st
March 2019*, at the latest. To submit your abstract go to www.enbis.org,
log in and search for ENBIS-19 under Upcoming Events. If you are not
already a member of ENBIS, please join first (note there is no
membership fee for individual members of ENBIS).
Already confirmed keynote speakers at ENBIS-19 include:
- Christine M. Anderson-Cook (Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA), on
“Big Decisions: How Statisticians Can Contribute”
- Andrea Saltelli (University of Bergen, Norway), on “Sensitivity
Analysis. An introduction”.
A series of pre- and post-conference courses in the framework of
ENBIS-19 will also take place on: New Product Growth Models; Causality;
Functional Data Analysis; Random Forests. Please check the ENBIS website
