The University of Auckland, New Zealand

The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for the discussion and
exchange of ideas, new concepts and recent methods in statistics. Being a
joint conference, there will be a blend of traditional statistical theory
and practice along with new developments in statistical computing,
especially as related to the R statistical system.
This conference will be special in at least two ways: it is a joint
international conference between two statistical associations (IASC and
NZSA), and it marks the retirement of Ross Ihaka, one of the two
co-founders of R. This conference is being hosted by the Department of
Statistics at the University of Auckland, the birthplace of R.
