Post-Doctoral Position Opening

Dr Nadia Micali in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Institute of Child Health, London, UK is looking for a recently graduated post-doctoral fellow for a two-year project focusing on metabolism, genes and eating disorders. The position will involve leading a secondary data analyses project investigating the relationship between appetitive traits, metabolism and eating disorders, in particular focusing on their genetic counterpart.

Responsibilities include:
collaborating with an international team of leaders (Karolinska Institute (Sweden), Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (US), University of Bristol (UK)) in the field of: obesity, eating disorders and epidemiology; data analyses, and writing up of results.

The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in psychology or epidemiology, knowledge of genetics, excellent skills in biostatistics, and excellent writing skills. Some prior experience working in the eating disorders or obesity field is required, and willingness to travel across Europe. This is a two-year project.

Opportunities for this position include:
- training and supervision in longitudinal data analyses, advanced statistical methodologies, and statistical genetics
- mentorship from expert collaborators in the fields of eating disorders, biostatistics, metabolism, psychiatric genetics
- leading on writing publications, and contributing to research outputs;
- encouragement and mentorship in development of an independent research program
