Professor/Associate Professor in Biostatistics for Modern Clinical
Trials, in OSLO, NORWAY

The Oslo University Hospital (OUS) and the University of Oslo (UiO) are
seeking an outstanding, inspiring and enthusiastic professor in Modern
Clinical Trials, in the newly created Oslo Centre for Biostatistics and
Epidemiology (OCBE), Oslo, Norway. The position is a permanent 100%
positions at OUS integrated with an affiliation as professor at the
Faculty of Medicine of UiO.

We are looking for a professor in biostatistics with competence and
interest in methodological approaches to the challenges of clinical
trials, including complex and adaptive designs and heterogeneous data,
with a wide practical experience in clinical trials.
The position is also open for applicants at associate professor level.

The successful professor candidate will have an exceptional research
record, as judged by the strength of her/his scientific, peer-reviewed
publications. She/he is an innovative researcher and leader in her or
his field. Candidates must demonstrate team spirit in developing their
own research, with strong interpersonal skills. Active collaborations,
interdisciplinary and internationally, are expected. Candidates at the
associate professor level will have started to achieve results in these
directions and show strong potentials.

This position is part of a substantial investment in biostatistics by
the University of Oslo and the Oslo University Hospital. We expect a
significant growth in the years to come, also based on the very strong
track record of OCBE in attracting external funding, which will be also
available for the incoming professor.
