ANNALI DEL DIPARTIMENTO MEMOTEF 2015

CALL FOR PAPERS

“PERSPECTIVES ON BEHAVIOURAL SCIENCES”

The Annals of the Department Memotef 2015 is planning its first online
issue for the year 2015 on the theme of Behavioural Sciences.

The term Behaviour Science traditionally refers to the study of the
logical-cognitive mechanisms that guide human behaviour. However, the term
can be extended to other areas if we consider it as the dynamics, trends,
evolutions and functions of behaviour. It can therefore be interpreted in
many ways, as for example in the disciplines that use these mechanisms for
decision-making and choice, or those that provide the numerical,
mathematical and statistical tools to formulate and represent such
mechanisms. As a consequence we can talk about Behavioural Sciences.

             The Call for Papers aims to open up different perspectives on
Behavioural Sciences, their interdisciplinary nature and future
developments. It is addressed to scholars who are interested in demography,
economic geography, economic history, linguistics and translation, law,
economics, statistics and applied mathematics.

We are particularly interested in the following themes:

-          Behavioural patterns of couples; reproductive behaviour;
lifestyles; the dynamics and policies of managing migratory flows; smart
cities; economic resilience of regions.

- Linguistic analysis of academic texts; interdisciplinary,
diachronic and socio-cultural variation; comparative genre analysis; legal
discourse.

- Sustainability of pension schemes; Basel III regulatory
framework for banks; Solvency II, European directive on risks, health
insurance and pension funds.

- Environmental economics; energy risks; models for evolutionary
economics; application of the cooperative game theory; ethics and
economics; behaviour of households, firms and public administration in
relation to consumption, saving, investment and production.

- Mathematical, statistical and computational models for financial
and insurance risks; longevity risk; biological risks; catastrophe risks;
theory of complex systems in finance and insurance; social security.
