A Special Issue of EJASA <http://siba-ese.unisalento.it/index.php/ejasa> (open access journal indexed in SCOPUS) will be concerned
with the topics of the Workshop SUNOVA & SHAPE 2014 <http://www.unibs.it/sites/default/files/ricerca/allegati/Workshop%20SUNOVA%20&%20SHAPE%202014.pdf>, held at the University of
Brescia (Italy) in October 21, 2014. 

Statistical methods, models and applications that assume the existence of not directly
observable variables are today extensively used in every research area.
This Open Special Issue of EJASA highlights the opportunities offered by some of the
most advanced statistical approaches based on unobservable variables. 

The considered methodological issues and applications include, but are not limited to: 

- Structural Equation Models 
- Ordinal Data Models 
- Rasch and IRT Models 
- Factor Models 
- Latent Class Models 
- Dynamic Latent Models 
- Spatial Latent Models 
- Measurement Error Models

The papers’ length must be 10-14 pages and follow the Editorial Standard of EJASA <http://siba-ese.unisalento.it/index.php/ejasa/about/submissions#authorGuidelines>. 

The deadline for the submission is February 28, 2015. All the papers will go through a
two-round peer-review process, and the Special Issue will be published by September 2015.
