MBC2  ­ 2nd International Workshop on
Model-Based Clustering and Classification

Catania (Italy), September 3-5, 2014
 
The workshop aims at providing a focus on the state-of-the-art research in
the field of model-based clustering and classification as well as a forum of
scientific discussions and comparisons among young and senior researchers.
Topics concern methodological, applied and computational issues in
model-based clustering and classification. The workshop will take place in
Catania (Italy) on September 3-5, 2014 with the support of the Italian
Statistical Society and the Classification and Data Analysis Group (CLADAG).

The scientific program of the workshop is based on
·     5 main lectures (40¹+20¹ discussion)

·     21 talks organized in  three-paper sessions (3 x 20¹ + 30¹ discussion)

·     A poster session

Important Dates
·     May 5, 2014: Submission of an abstract (max 2000 characters)  and some
background literature (max 3 papers or technical reports) for either paper
or poster sessions.

·     June 8, 2014: Notification of the acceptance.

·     August 25, 2014: Submission of either the slides (for lectures and
talks) or a short paper  (for poster session, 4 pages), references
concerning contributions to be presented in either paper or poster sessions.
These documents  will be available to the participants of the workshop.

 
Registration fee
The registration fee includes lunches, coffee breaks and workshop material.
·     Standard registration (until June 30, 2014): 150 euro.

·     Late registration (after June 30, 2014): 180 euro.

 
The workshop will take place at Collegio d¹Aragona (Via Ventimiglia 184,
95129 Catania, Italy).
