Duration: 36 Month Contract, Based in Milton Keynes
Starting salary: £30,424 - £32,267
 
 
This position is based in the Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology, in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Dr Nickolay Trandafilov on Leverhulme Trust funded project entitled: Sparse factor analysis with application to large data sets.

You will have completed a PhD in a subject area relevant to the research, e.g. computational statistics, machine learning, etc. You will have experience of writing and publication, and have evidence of excellent Matlab and/or R programming skills and good knowledge on matrix computing and optimization and related numerical methods.
This is a three year post with an estimated start date of 1 November 2013.
