MBC2  – 2nd International workshop on 

Model-Based Clustering and Classification

Catania (Italy), September 3-5, 2014 

 

The workshop aims at providing a focus on the state-of-the-art research in the field of model-based clustering and classification as well as a forum of scientific discussions and comparisons among young and senior researchers. Topics concern methodological, applied and computational issues in model-based clustering and classification. The workshop will take places in Catania (Italy) on September 3-5, 2014 and will take place with the support of the Italian Statistical Society and the Classification and Data Analysis Group (CLADAG).

The scientific program of the workshop is based on 

·       5-6 main lectures (40’+20’ discussion)

·       18-21 talks organized in  5 three-paper sessions (3 x 20’ + 30’ discussion)

·       A poster session 

 

 

Important Dates

·       May 5th, 2014: Submission of an abstract (max 2000 characters)  and some background literature (max 3 papers or technical reports) for either paper or poster sessions. 

·       June 8th, 2014: Notification of the acceptance.

·       August 25th, 2014: Submission of either the slides (for lectures and talks) or a short paper  (for poster session, 4 pages), references concerning contributions to be presented in either paper or poster sessions. These documents  will be available to the participants of the workshop.

 

 

Registration fee

The registration fee includes lunches, coffee breaks and workshop material. 

·       Standard registration (until June 20th, 2012): 150 euro.

·       Late registration (after June 20th, 2012): 180 euro.

 

The workshop will take place at Collegio d’Aragona (Via Ventimiglia 184, 95129 Catania).
