XLVII Scientific Meeting of the
ITALIAN STATISTICAL SOCIETY

June 11-13, 2014
Cagliari, Italy


The Conference will include plenary, specialized, contributed and  
poster sessions.
The Conference Program Committee invites submissions of contributed  
papers/posters.
These can be on any area of interest relevant to theoretical and  
applied statistics.

1. Submission of a contributed paper
Papers can be submitted on-line. All submissions, except invited  
talks, are subject to a blind refereeing process.
Information on paper submission, editorial standards and other details  
will be available on the conference site:

After acceptance of the contributed papers, the Conference Program  
Committee will confirm the inclusion in the program of the proposed  
contributed paper session. The session will be chaired by the  
organizer. The deadlines are as follows:
Papers/Abstracts Submissions: 	February 10th, 2014
Authors Notifications: 		March 31th, 2014
Final version: 				April 30th, 2014

2. Session arrangements
There will also be an invited session organized by the Federation of  
European National Statistical Societies. Proposals for self-organized  
contributed paper sessions are also invited. These sessions will be  
similar to standard contributed paper sessions except that someone,  
usually one of the contributors, organizes three/four contributed  
papers into a session prior to submission. Proposals for  
self-organized contributed paper sessions should be emailed to the  
Program Committee Chair, Tonio Di Battista (dibattis a unich.it). Upon  
acceptance of the contributed papers, the Program Committee will  
confirm the inclusion into the program of the proposed self-organized  
contributed paper session. The Sessions will be chaired by the  
organizers.

3. Submission of a Poster
Researchers who wish to participate without submitting a paper, can  
send a poster up to the very last minute. The deadline is as follows:
Poster:					May 31th, 2014

4. Publications
a) The Book of Abstract will be printed for the meeting.
b) Proceedings-All accepted papers will be published in the SIS2014  
Proceedings (CD) with ISBN.
c) A Book in the new international Series Studies in Theoretical and  
Applied Statistics, will be published by Springer. All presenters will  
be invited to submit their paper for possible publication. Submissions  
will go through a blind reviewing process and only the selected best  
papers will be included in the book.
