In honor of the 150th anniversary of Politecnico di Milano

A competition leading to a BarCamp on

TECHNOLOGY FORESIGHT AND STATISTICS FOR THE FUTURE

We challenge young EU statisticians to envision statistical models and 
methods that will have an impact on the development of technology in the 
next 25 years, before the
175-th anniversary of Politecnico di Milano.

Competitors need to send
- their cv
- a manuscript describing their views on statistics for technology of 
the future
- a description of how they will present their work of science (slides, 
poster, movie, artifact, etc)

The authors of the 5 best contributions will be invited to participate 
to the SCo2013 conference

paying for their travel expenses, their registration fees and their 
lodging in Milano for the period of the conference. The winners of the 
competition will be invited to lead the main stream of the BarCamp on 
September 12th 2013, within the SCo2013 meeting, for sharing their ideas 
in progress and for stimulating new perspectives on statistics and 
technology.

Competition deadline: March 31st, 2013
Notification of winner: April 30th, 2013
