Dear All,

Please circulate among your University or other Institutions the following PhD position focuses on the development of statistical methodology for genetic pathway analysis based on family studies. 

PhD student m/f, Leiden

We are seeking a PhD student interested in solving challenging and relevant statistical problems within an international and multidisciplinary environment.


The position

As a PhD student you will work within the department of Medical Statistics and Bioinformatics on a subproject of the European consortium MIMOmics. MIMOmics is a consortium of 14 European partners which develops methods for integrated analysis of multiple omics datasets (genomics, metabolomics etc). Your work will focus on the development of statistical methodology for genetic pathway analysis based on family studies. 

Your profile

You hold a master (or bachelor) degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a similar discipline.

The department

You will work within the Medical Statistics group which is the largest medical statistics research group in the Netherlands, consisting of nine permanent staff members.
