ABSTRACT
In this presentation the approach of PLS structural equation models to analyze the role of employability in re-employment processes for dismissed workers is proposed. In particular, an high order construct will be implemented to study the multidimensional nature of the dispositional employability. The aim of the research is to examine the relation between dispositional employability and mental health. We want therefore to understand if and how some variables influence this relation. The following variables have been identified as potential protective factors in unemployment situations: the perceived level of organizational justice during the lay-off; the perceived employability and the perceived utility of re-employment services. Our research involved dismissed workers in the pharmaceutical sector, who joined programs of requalification and re-employment sponsored by companies within a Welfare-to-Work project.
