Reader/Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics

The Faculty of Medicine is committed to supporting an environment that 
delivers research and teaching excellence and wishes to appoint an outstanding 
scientist to the post of Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics to the existing 
strngths of the Academic Unit of Primary Care and Population Sciences

(https://www.som.soton.ac.uk/research/).

The post holder will be expected to lead a team of medical statisticians in 
the Unit, and to oversee applied statistical research and medical statistics 
teaching to undergraduates and postgraduates within the Faculty of Medicine. 
You will work closely with Professor Dankmar Bohning, Professor of Medical 
Statistics, and other colleagues in the Southampton Statistical Sciences 
Research Institute (www.s3ri.soton.ac. uk).

You will have a national reputation and clear future research potential and 
strong record of teaching. You will be expected to collaborate on applied 
health research of the highest academic standard. We welcome applications from 
candidates with the potential to develop new statistical methods relevant to 
medical statistics.
