                          FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for the discussion of
new developments
and applications of statistical models and computational methods for the
analysis
of complex and high dimensional data.

S.Co. 2011 follows the S.Co. conferences held in Venice (1999), Brixen
(2001),
Treviso (2003), Brixen (2005), Venice (2007) and Milan (2009);
as in the previous editions, the conference will consist of invited
lectures, organized
and contributed sessions and poster presentation.

TOPICS
A non exhaustive list of the subject areas covered in the conference
includes:
- Dynamic models: computational methods and applications;
- Computational methods and Bayesian statistics;
- Design and analysis of complex surveys;
- Statistical methods in machine learning;
- Functional data analysis;
- Methods for multidimensional analysis of complex data;
- Time series and spatial modeling;
- Statistical methods for technology;
- Models and computational methods in business and economics;
- Models and computational methods in environmental statistics;
- Information and forecasting;
- Financial risk modelling;
- Likelihood inference in complex models.

ABSTRACT AND PAPER SUBMISSION
Authors interested in submitting a paper sould submit an abstract, of no
more than
500 words, by April 10th, 2011.
Submission should include the indication of one or two tracks.
Proposal submission will soon be available
through the conference website (http://sco2011.stat.unipd.it).
The Scientific Committee will notify to authors
the acceptance of the paper by April 24th, 2011.
After acceptance, a short paper of at most 6 pages should be
submitted by June 26th, 2011.

DEADLINES
- April 10th, 2011: Abstract submissione
- April 24th, 2011: Notification of acceptance
- June 26th, 2011:  Short paper submission
