We seek a PhD candidate interested in developing statistical methodology
within the areas of spatial and spatio-temporal statistics, Bayesian 
methods and simulation based inference. The project will be 
application-driven with an emphasis towards marine biological problems. 
We have developed strong competence in statistical modelling of marine 
populations, and this PhD project represents an exciting opportunity to 
develop new statistical methodology for a sustainable management of fish 
populations in the Barents Sea. Through our partners the candidate will 
have close contact with experts within marine biology and fishery 
management. The PhD degree is at the University of Oslo.

Pay grade: NOK 355 400 - 394 200 (depending on qualifications)
