Position
Since 1 October 2009, Silvia Bacci is Assistant Professor of Statistics at the Department of Economics of the University of Perugia (Italy).
Education
PhD in Applied Statistics, Department of Statistics, University of Florence, 2004-2006. Thesis title: ''Health related Quality of Life: some methodological aspects of Rasch analysis''. To work on her PhD thesis, in 2005 Silvia Bacci was a visiting student at the University of Paris VI (FR), invited by Prof. Mounir Mesbah.
Degree in Business Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Florence, a.y. 2001-2002, mark: 110/110 cum laude. Thesis title: ''Utility theory: the case study of bank foundations''.
Scientific high-school diploma, s.y. 1996-1997, mark: 60/60.

Silvia Bacci began to teach Statistics as assistant professor and professor in 2005. At the moment she teaches as assistant professor a basic course of Statistics for undergraduate students in Economics and as professor a basic course of Statistics for undergraduate students in Veterinary Medicine. Moreover, in years 2007, 2009, 2011 Silvia Bacci has been professor for a course titled ''Item Response Theory models: theory and applications with statistical software'' within the School ''Theory and practice of random effects models for multilevel and longitudinal data'', organized by Department of Statistics of University of Florence and the Italian Statistical Society. From 2012 she is a member of the teaching staff of PhD program in ''Mathematical and Statistical Methods for the Economic and Social Sciences'', University of Perugia.
