Professorship of Statistics
Applications are invited for the above vacant post within the newly-formed
School which comprises the Departments of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics
and Statistics. The school offers well-established degree programmes at
both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Faculties of Arts and
Science as well as contributing to many other courses across a wide range
of faculties.
The appointee, who should have a strong record of research at international
level will be expected to provide academic and administrative leadership
for the department and the School. This will involve promoting research and
consultancy/applications, as well as guiding the design and delivery of
taught programme. Extensive teaching and research experience , with good
inter-personal skills, including an ability to lead by example are
essential.
